(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Finance whether there has been any borrowing from commercial banks since the inception of the bank strike; and, if so, how much.

As announced on 15th June, 1966, a loan of £5 million has been accepted from the recently established Dublin branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia.

There was no other borrowing from commercial banks since the inception of the bank strike.
