Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Santry (Dublin) Telephone Service.

40.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the underground cabling scheme in the Santry area, Dublin, will be completed to enable a telephone service to be provided for the many applicants in that area, and the number of such applicants.

An underground cabling scheme for the Shanowen, Shanliss and Lorcan districts which will pave the way for the clearance of about 200 waiting applications is expected to be completed this year. Planning of a cabling scheme for Santry village proper in which there are ten waiting applicants will be undertaken within the next six months.

The total number of applicants is 210.
