Vol. 223 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mervue (Galway) Housing Estate.

18.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is satisfied with the progress to date on the Galway Corporation housing estate at Mervue, Galway; and when this housing scheme will be completed.

I understand from Galway Corporation that progress on this housing scheme is satisfactory and that it is expected that it will be completed within the contract period which expires on 31st March, 1967.

Will the Minister state if this satisfaction applies to housing generally in Galway or to what degree he is satisfied with it?

I am afraid the Deputy will need to put down another question.

Sure, I know the answer. I am a member of the Corporation.

If the Deputy knows the answer, why did he ask the question?

Why did the Deputy not submit more plans to the Corporation?

(Interruptions.)
