Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Planning Appeals.

26.

asked the Minister for Local Government the date on which he received an appeal from a person (name supplied) against the decision of Galway Corporation to refuse outline planning permission under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963; and when a decision will be made on the matter.

The appeal in question was received on 12th May, 1965. I am at present awaiting some additional information from Galway Corporation, on receipt of which I expect to be in a position to give a decision.

asked the Minister for Local Government the date on which he received an appeal from a person (name supplied) against the decision of Galway Corporation to refuse outline planning permission under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963; and when a decision will be made in this case.

The appeal in question was received on 1st March, 1965. I did not receive the revised proposals mentioned in my reply to the Deputy's question of 10th March, 1966. Within the past fortnight, the appellant's architect telephoned my Department to say that he wished the appeal to be determined on the basis of the proposals already before me and arrangements have now been made to have the matter reconsidered accordingly.
