asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state the various grants given by Bord Fáilte to hoteliers in each county throughout the State for each of the years 1950 to 1966.

Grants for the building, improvement and extension of hotels are made by Bord Fáilte in their discretion out of the fund provided for holiday accommodation under section 2 of the Tourist Traffic Act, 1959, as amended by section 6 of the Tourist Traffic Act, 1966. The Board are also authorised to pay interest grants on loans raised for the purpose of providing holiday accommodation in accordance with section 17 of the Tourist Traffic Act, 1952, and section 3 of the Tourist Traffic Act, 1957.

Particulars of the Board's expenditure in respect of these grants are shown in their annual accounts and supplementary information is included in their annual reports. The information sought by the Deputy, in so far as it is not included in these documents, is not available in my Department.
