The total intake of land in each of the past three complete financial years was:
(a) for Land Commission purposes: 1963-64, 37,127 acres; 1964-65, 43,431 acres; 1965-66, 38,500 acres (approximately).
(b) for afforestation: 1963-64, 29,652 acres; 1964-65, 27,978 acres; 1965-66, 21.645 acres.
