Vol. 224 No. 3

Ceisteanna — Questions Oral Answers. - Airport Postal Facilities.

20.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs what postal facilities exist at (a) Dublin Airport, (b) Shannon Airport, and (c) Cork Airport; and if he will provide for post offices open 24 hours a day at each of these airports.

There is a post office with 24 hour service at Shannon Airport.

The postal facilities at the airports at Dublin and Cork are as follows:-

Dublin: Four stamp vending machines and two posting boxes, together with 34 public telephones. Arrangements are being made to provide six additional public telephones.

The question of providing a post office is under consideration.

Cork

Two stamp vending machines, one posting box and four public telephones.

The provision of a post office would not be warranted by the volume of business likely to be transacted.
