Vol. 224 No. 3

Ceisteanna — Questions Oral Answers. - Forestry Workers' Sick Pay and Superannuation.

4.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the cause of the delay in completing the terms of the long-promised sick-pay and superannuation scheme for manual workers employed by the Forestry Branch of his Department; and when he anticipates that the trade unions concerned will be acquainted with positive proposals concerning the two schemes referred to.

No promises have been given as to the introduction of either sick pay or superannuation schemes for Forestry workers. Both matters have been the subject of representations from the Trade Unions concerned but no decision has yet been reached on the representations made.
