asked the Minister for Finance when it is expected that restoration and cleaning works at Cahir Castle, County Tipperary, will be completed; and when it will be open to the public.

The scheme of conservation works at present in progress at Chair Castle, County Tipperary, is not expected to be complete before 1968. The castle cannot be opened to the general public until the works have been finished.

That is nearly as good as the county council.

10.

There are no plans before the Department for the development of Ormonde Castle, Carrick-on-Suir. The monument has been put into good repair and condition by the Commissioners of Public Works and is now maintained by them in their capacity as guardians.
