Vol. 224 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Two-teacher School Appointments.

92.

andMr. Gilhawley asked the Minister for Education if it is now the policy of his Department not to make permanent appointments in two-teacher schools where vacancies arise.

Mr. O'Malley

This is not the policy of my Department. If, however, there is a question of such a school being closed or another school being amalgamated with it within a short period of time, then only a temporary appointment is sanctioned.
