Vol. 224 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Social Welfare Office.

22.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why the social welfare office in Boyle, County Roscommon has been closed; and if it is closed permanently or temporarily.

The office of the Social Welfare officer in Boyle was transferred at the beginning of September last to Castlerea for reasons of economy. It is intended that the station of the Social Welfare officer for this area will be operated in the future from Castlerea. I might add that the branch employment manager and the local agent of my Department continue to function at Boyle.
