Vol. 224 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Donegal Castle.

13.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will have immediate repairs carried out to the old historic castle of The O'Donnell at Donegal town.

I am not aware that any repairs are urgently needed at Donegal Castle, but an inspection will be made shortly and anything immediately necessary will be done.

Will the Minister bear in mind that his colleague, the Minister for Transport and Power, speaking in Donegal recently said that a gimmick such as Bunratty Castle was essential for Donegal. I know of no place more appropriate than this castle in the town of Donegal. Will the Minister bear that in mind when he is having a survey made in the near future?

That is a bit wide of the question. The Deputy referred to repairs. He did not think of medieval dinners.

It can cover that also.
