Issues from the Local Loans Fund to Kildare County Council for the making of house-purchase loans amounted to £141,000 in 1965-66 as against an actual expenditure by the council of £120,000. The capital allocation to the council for this purpose for the current financial year is £100,000. At the close of 1965-66, the council held a credit balance of £25,286 on their house-purchase loan account, and this sum is available to them for expenditure on loans in the current financial year in addition to the allocation of £100,000.
