Vol. 225 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Estate.

18.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission are yet in a position to have the Finure estate, Whitegate, County Cork, which has been in their possession for three years, allocated to local smallholders.

Possession of this 435 acre property in the townlands of Finure and Glanturkin did not pass to the Land Commission until early last year. Pending completion of the necessary inquiries on the ground, I am unable to forecast just now when a scheme of division can be planned. The claims of all deserving local applicants will be fully considered by the Land Commission in connection with the disposal of the lands.
