Vol. 225 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Routing of Telegraph Poles.

47.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that a person (name supplied) cannot carry out a land project scheme owing to the proximity of telegraph poles; and if he will make arrangements to have these poles re-routed.

The poles in question are part of a route carrying working circuits. The Department obtained wayleaves for the erection of the poles and cannot undertake to bear the expense involved in their immediate removal. Development in the area will however necessitate the recovery of this pole route within the next few months.
