Vol. 225 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Unemployment Assistance Payments.

55.

asked the Minister for Labour if he is aware that people in receipt of unemployment assistance in the townlands of Glountane, Knockachur, Brehig, Gortlass, Kilmurry, Coom, and Knockatee in the Cordal district have to travel some ten to 11 miles to Castleisland, County Kerry, each week to have their forms certified; and if he will arrange to have these forms certified at Cordal.

I am having the position of persons who may be unemployed in the townlands mentioned by the Deputy examined to see whether a change is called for in the arrangements for certifying evidence of unemployment.
