asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money allocated to Limerick Corporation for Christmas relief work this year.

An urban employment schemes grant of £12,000 has been allocated to Limerick County Borough this year.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has sanctioned Christmas relief grants for Birr, Edenderry, Tullamore, Banagher, Clara, Portlaoise, Mountmellick, Portarlington and Rathdowney; if so, if he will state the amount of the grant sanctioned in each case; and when the work will commence.

A grant of £600 has been sanctioned under urban employment schemes for Birr and £750 for Tullamore. Approval will be given for the carrying out of the works as soon as suitable schemes have been submitted by the local authorities concerned.

It will not be possible to allocate employment schemes grants to the other towns mentioned in the question.

65.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will expedite sanction of the necessary finance for Christmas relief work schemes in Mid-Cork.

The employment schemes grant available for the constituency of Mid-Cork this year was notified to the local authority concerned on 17th November, 1966.
