The Taoiseach

The following statement sets out all the available information relevant to the import details sought in Questions Nos. 222 to 231. Particulars of imports of tyres and tubes under the relevant Official Import List headings are given in section A for each year 1960-1965 and for the period January-November, 1966. These headings do not distinguish between each of the classes specified in the questions. An examination of import records since January, 1965 has provided some additional information in respect of bicycle tyres and of various types of inner tubes which is given in sections B and C.
