Vol. 226 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - ESB Officer Staff.

91.

asked the Minister for Labour what is the position in regard to over 2,000 members of the officer staff of the ESB who were opposed to his proposals for the abolition of the statutory tribunals in the ESB and the issue of group negotiating licences; and if he has any statement to make in regard to this matter.

Representatives of the Officer Staff of the Electricity Supply Board have informed me that they do not favour the proposed abolition of the ESB General Employees Tribunal and that they do not favour the idea of group negotiation licences. Their views will be given full consideration and beyond that I have no statement to make.
