Vol. 226 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Inquiries.

69.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of industrial inquiries as a result of his recent trip to America.

During my visit to the US, I had discussions with the heads of 14 industrial firms who were interested in Ireland as a location for an expansion of their activities. One of these firms decided on a definite project which I announced publicly on 29th October, 1966. Four others are at present negotiating with the Industrial Development Authority on proposals which appear to have good prospects of coming to fruition.
