Vol. 226 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Electors.

7.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each local authority the number of local electors on the 1966-67 Register for each area.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 127 on 16th February, 1967. Compilation of the information requested has not yet been completed.

Is it not possible to get the information?

The Minister informed Deputy Sweetman on 16th February that as soon as he got the information, he would furnish it to him.

Has the Parliamentary Secretary any idea of when that will be?

In about three weeks' time.

The Parliamentary Secretary has said that the information will be furnished to Deputy Sweetman. I think it should be put on the records of the House and made available to Deputies.

I am telling the Deputy the nature of the reply made to Deputy Sweetman on 16th February which was that the Minister would pass on the information to him.
