Vol. 227 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Circuit Court Forms.

41.

asked the Minister for Justice if having regard to the amount of duplicated work in drafting, typing and filing six different forms to obtain judgment in default in the Circuit Court he will have steps taken to reduce the number of forms.

Five of the six forms used in obtaining judgment in default in the Circuit Court are prescribed by the Circuit Court Rules, 1950. I am bringing the Deputy's suggestion regarding these forms to the attention of the Circuit Court Rules Committee.

42.

asked the Minister for Justice if, having regard to the amount of duplicated work in drafting, typing and filing general requisition forms along with other self-explanatory forms in the Circuit Court, he will have steps taken to abolish the need for general requisitions.

The question of reducing the number of general requisition forms used in the Circuit Court is one for the Circuit Court Rules Committee and I am bringing the Deputy's suggestion to the attention of that Committee. If the Deputy will let me know of any other particular Circuit Court forms which he has in mind, I will have these considered also.
