Vol. 227 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Min Fhéir Teoranta.

47.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce why, in respect of £186,935 employed in Min Fhéir (1959) Teo., no interest was paid in the last financial year.

State investment in Min Fhéir (1959) Teo. took the form of cash for ordinary shares. No dividend on the shares was paid in the financial year ended 31st March, 1966, as the company had incurred a trading loss in that year.

Could the Minister indicate when it is hoped the company will make a profit?

I shall let the Minister know that the Deputy wants to know what he hopes.

The Minister might let the Taoiseach know, too.

The development is moving up to the quantum of production that will make a profit.

Did the Taoiseach say that there are certain developments about to take place?

Development is moving to the quantum of production at which the undertaking will be viable.

Are there any further investments?

The Deputy is going into details which I cannot cover.

You are going dafter than I thought you were.
