The numbers of applications for the registration of trade marks which were received, advertised in the Official Journal, and registered in the year ended 31st March, 1966, were 1,893, 1,531 and 1,489 respectively. The number of applications which were regarded as abandoned, withdrawn or refused in the same period was 357. The percentage of marks advertised to applications received was 80.8 per cent.
The corresponding figures for the year ended 31st March, 1965, were 1,873, 1,531, 1,431, 404 and 81.7 per cent respectively.
