asked the Minister for Local Government the number of applications from County Mayo to 1st April, 1967 under (a) rural improvement schemes, (b) minor employment schemes, and (c) bog development schemes which have been (i) inspected and estimated and (ii) received in his Department and not yet dealt with.

No grants were issued last year for minor employment or bog development schemes, but applicants for such grants were given the option of applying under the rural improvement scheme. The outstanding rural improvement scheme applications at 1st April 1967, for County Mayo were: (a) inspected and estimated 89; (b) not yet inspected, 45; total, 134.
