Vol. 228 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Moore Street Traders.

24.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether the interests of street traders in Moore Street will be safeguarded in any replanning of the area.

The question of street trading and the effect of the projected redevelopment scheme in the Moore Street area are matters for consideration by Dublin Corporation. I understand that while no detailed plans for the redevelopment have yet been prepared it is the aim to provide facilities for stall trading in the proposed redevelopment scheme for the area bounded by Moore Street, Parnell Street, Chapel Lane and Sampson's Lane.

Would it be possible that traders' business would not be interrupted by any plans that may be suggested?

That is a matter to be considered by Dublin Corporation.
