Vol. 228 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stamp Duty on House Sales.

35.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider reducing or removing the stamp duty payable on the sale of new or previously occupied houses to persons who qualify under the SDA Acts.

Persons buying new houses are catered for under existing law, which provides for a reduced stamp duty of £1 per cent on purchases for which grants under the Housing Act are made.
