Vol. 228 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork School.

39.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the urgent need for the erection of a new school at Ballyheaphy, Araglen, Kilworth, County Cork; and if he will state the up-to-date position with regard to this important project.

This is one of the cases which fell to be reviewed in the light of the policy to secure larger school units wherever possible. The examination of the matter accordingly is proceeding.

I am sure the Minister is aware that proceedings are taking an abnormally long time and could I prevail upon him in view of the bad circumstances prevailing there to expedite matters to the very best of his ability?

I shall see that the Deputy's observations are conveyed to the Minister for Education.
