Vol. 228 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Holidays of Insurance Agents.

asked the Minister for Labour if he is aware that many insurance companies are still refusing to permit their wholetime agents to take annual holidays with pay; if he will now amend the regulations to remove any doubt or ambiguity concerning the entitlement of such agents to annual holidays; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to a similar question on the 5th July, 1966.

I have been informed that the consultative case for the High Court, which I mentioned in that reply, began yesterday and concluded today. I understand that the court has reserved its decision in the case.

Is the Minister as disappointed as I am at the long delay?
