Vol. 228 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rome Treaty: Monopolies and Cartels.

1.

asked the Taoiseach if he is satisfied that the EEC are properly enforcing the section of the Rome Treaty which deals with monopolies and Cartels; and if he sees any danger for this country, in the event of Ireland becoming a member, in its lax enforcement.

I am not aware that any serious difficulties are being encountered in the European Economic Community in relation to this matter. It is not anticipated that any significant problems would arise in our case on our accession to the Community.
