Vol. 228 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he proposes to sanction schemes for the provision of piped water supply to the areas of Lissaniskey, Farbreagues, Clooncraff, Cloncellan, Toberdan, Gailey, Portrunny and Lisbride, County Roscommon.

Design drawings for a scheme of extensions to the Knock-croghery No. 1 Regional Water Supply Scheme, which will provide piped water supplies for the areas referred to, are under consideration in my Department.

I am not in a position to say when approval thereto is likely to issue.

16.

asked the Minister for Local Government the up-to-date position regarding the Loughglynn and the Castlerea water supply scheme to serve the Ballintubber area, County Roscommon, and the Ballinlough-Cloonfad regional scheme.

There has been no change in the position in relation to these proposals since the reply to the Deputy's question of 22nd June, 1966.

17.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the Gortamullin, Kenmare water and sewerage scheme which was submitted by Kerry County Council some three weeks ago for sanction of a loan.

Kerry County Council's proposal for an extension of water and sewerage services to Gortamullin was received in my Department on 12th instant and is at present under examination.
