I assume that in referring to carbonic presence in the blood or urine, the Deputy has in mind the presence of carbon monoxide in the blood or urine. I am advised that it is possible to distinguish between alcohol and carbon monoxide in a sample of blood. Since carbon monoxide is not soluble in urine, the question of distinguishing between alcohol and carbon monoxide in urine does not arise.
