asked the Minister for Justice the mileage covered by State cars used by each Minister and Parliamentary Secretary for each of the years ended 1st June, 1965, 1966 and 1967.

Mileages for the year ended 1st June, 1967, of cars allocated to Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries are set out in the appended tabular statement.

It has not been possible in the time available to compile the information requested in respect of the two earlier years, or to include in the statistics supplied for the year ended 1st June, 1967, particulars of mileages performed by relief cars.

When the information is available to me, I will communicate it to the Deputy; alternatively, if the Deputy cares to set down a question in a fortnight's time, I would hope to be in a position to give him the particulars.
