Vol. 230 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glasgow-Derry Passenger Sailings.

5.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is aware of the damage done to the tourist traffic in County Donegal by the cancellation of sailings of the passenger boat between Glasgow and Derry; and, if so, he will make representations to the Burns and Laird line to resume these sailings, at least during the holiday period.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply which I gave to a question about this matter on 5th July, 1967. The information available to me indicates that cancellation of the passenger shipping service between Glasgow and Derry has not had an adverse effect on County Donegal tourist traffic.
