Vol. 230 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Toilet Facilities in Sligo Schools.

50.

asked the Minister for Education if he will have proper toilet facilities provided at Ballinfull national school, County Sligo, which has about 60 pupils on roll.

Mr. O'Malley

It is proposed to close the two-teacher school at Breaghwy, Ballinfull, County Sligo, and to arrange for the conveyance of the pupils to Grange national school which would thus become a four-teacher school. I am satisfied that this arrangement would be in the best educational interests of the children of both of these school districts.

In view of this proposal, the incurring of public expenditure on the toilet facilities at Breaghwy would be unwarranted.
