Vol. 230 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Water Scheme.

16.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in the group scheme water supply at Glenascaul, Oranmore, County Galway.

The pipes laid in this scheme have proved to be unsatisfactory. The matter has been taken up with the manufacturers of the pipes and a reply is awaited.

Do I take it that the Minister has no interest in this matter beyond paying a grant? This has been going on for quite a long time and those people are waiting a long time for results.

The Department of Local Government have made every effort to resolve this matter.

If they provide good pipes in Kildare, it will be all right.
