Vol. 230 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Heating of County Galway Barracks.

33.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware of the need for heating in some of the bedrooms in married quarters at Renmore military barracks, Galway; and if he will ensure that electric plugs are now provided there.

I am not aware of any special need for heating in some of the bedrooms in the married quarters referred to in the question. A scheme for the provision of a power plug in all of the older soldiers' married quarters throughout the country is at present being implemented.

The Minister states that he is not aware and still he is implementing what I asked.

I am not aware of any special need for heating.

Why put it in at all then?

Why is it warmer there than elsewhere?

That is not the same thing at all.
