asked the Minister for Local Government if he intends to initiate proposals to amend the Constitution to enable citizens of 18 years and over to vote in presidential and parliamentary elections; and if he will introduce legislation to allow such citizens to vote in local elections.

I have, at present, no proposals for the amendment of the Constitution on the lines suggested.
