Vol. 231 No. 1

Returns to Writs: Cork and West Limerick. - Introduction of New Members.

The Clerk of the Dáil made the following announcement:
I gcomhlíonadh Bhuan-Ordú 138 de Bhuan-Orduithe Dháil Éireann i dtaobh Gnó Phoiblí, tá orm a chraoladh go ndearnadh, sna Corrthoghcháin a bhí ann an 9 Samhain, 1967, de chionn an Teachta Seán Ó Cathasaigh agus an Teachta Séamas Ó Coileáin d'fháil bháis, na comhaltaí seo a leanas a thoghadh don Dáil:
Dáilcheantar Chorcaí, Seán Frinse.
Dáilcheantar Luimnigh Thiar,
Gearóid Ó Coileáin.
In compliance with Standing Order 138 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business, I have to announce that at the Bye-Elections held on 9th November, 1967, consequent on the deaths of Deputies Seán Casey and James J. Collins, the following members have been elected to the Dáil:
Constituency of Cork, Seán French.
Constituency of West Limerick,
Gerard Collins.
Deputy Seán French, the new Member for the Constituency of Cork, was introduced to the Ceann Comhairle by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach (Mr. Carty).
Deputy Gerard Collins, the new Member for the Constituency of West Limerick, was introduced to the Ceann Comhairle by Deputy Geoghegan.

These two are not ancient monuments.

You have a lot to be rid of.

It was a lot less than the 23,000 I heard the Taoiseach ask for.

Are you not going?

Another moral victory for Fine Gael.

Do not embarrass your neighbour.
