As the number of civilians employed with the Defence Forces exceeds 1,500 with over 80 different categories in about 50 locations throughout the country, the determination of their precise average weekly working hours would involve an undue expenditure of official time. In general, however, the hours range from 40 to 45 a week and the majority would be in the 40 to 42½ hours range.
