Vol. 231 No. 6

Written Answer. - Meath School Grant.

49.

asked the Minister for Education the date on which an application for a heating and cleaning grant was received from a school (name supplied) in County Meath for the year 1966-67; if further correspondence has been received from the manager; the date of such correspondence; what reply was given to the correspondence received; and the date on which the grant will be paid.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of a completed form of application for a grant in respect of the heating and cleaning of the school in question for the year 1966-67.

Forms of application for this grant were issued to school managers, for completion, towards the end of the school year. Communications dated 24th October, 10th November and 15th November, 1967, were received from the manager of the school concerned regarding the non-payment of the grant. On 15th November a duplicate application form was sent to the manager for completion.

The grant will be paid without undue delay when the completed form has been received.
