Vol. 231 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Development Policy.

48.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when the general review of industrial development policy commenced; when it will be completed; and when he expects to be in a position to make a definite announcement regarding future policy with special reference to the establishment of new industrial centres.

The review of this country's existing range of industrial incentives commenced early in 1967. The review is at present nearing completion.

The question of the establishment of further industrial estates is being considered as part of this review and is also related to a series of regional surveys being undertaken under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963.
