Vol. 231 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Insurance Income Limit.

60.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange, as a matter of urgency, for the income limit in respect of the insurance of non-manual employees under the Social Welfare Acts to be raised to at least £1,500.

The remuneration limit for insurance under the Social Welfare Acts which applies only to non-manual workers was increased from £800 a year to £1,200 a year just over two years ago. I am not in a position to say when any further increase will be made.
