The number of children leaving industrial schools in any year includes those who were formally discharged in previous years but remained in the schools for further training.
The number of boys and girls aged 14 years or over who left industrial schools in the year ended 30th June, 1966, were 211 and 220 respectively and in the year ended 30th June, 1967, 173 and 213 respectively.
