Vol. 231 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Tea.

66.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has given approval for an increases in the price of tea; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have not agreed to an increase in the price of tea. So far as I am aware, there has not been any general increase in tea prices for some years past.

Is there an application with the Minister's Department for an increase in the price of tea?

As I explained on recent occasions, there are good reasons why I should not answer a question like that.

Surely devaluation will increase the import price of tea?

This may happen eventually, but it has not happened yet.
