Only two factories were in production on the Waterford Industrial Estate on 31st December, 1967. Therefore to give the number of persons in insurable employment on the estate on that date would, in effect, be to give information about employment in individual firms. It is not the practice to do this. It is estimated that when the estate is fully developed, employment will be provided there for some 2,000 persons.
