Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 1 Feb 1968

Vol. 232 No. 2

Written Answers. - Redundancy Records.

198.

asked the Minister for Labour if the regulations made for the purposes of section 57 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967, have the effect of compelling employers who have no records to prepare and keep records whenever requested to do so by officers of his Department.

The regulations made by me so far under section 57 of the Redundancy Payment Act, 1967, do not enable officers of my Department to require employers to prepare and keep records. Experience of the operation of the Act will show whether such a provision is necessary.

By agreement, the debate on the Supplementary Estimate for Local Government is not being resumed this evening.

The Dáil adjourned at 4.55 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 6th February, 1968.
