Vol. 232 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Traffic Control.

139.

Mr. Barrett

asked the Minister for Justice if he will request the Commissioner of the Garda to take all steps necessary to expedite any regulations or orders which it is necessary for him to make in respect of the control of traffic, the re-siting or provision of new bus stops and other matters within his ambit having regard to the dislocation of traffic generally in Cork city owing to the closing of Parnell bridge.

The Garda Síochána do not need any such reminder as is suggested in the question, having already taken all the steps necessary, in consultation with other interested parties, to deal with the situation as far as conditions permit.
