Vol. 232 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mallow School.

18.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position in regard to the proposal to erect a new school on the south side of Mallow town, County Cork.

Mr. O'Malley

The Reverend Manager has applied for a grant towards the cost of erecting a new school for junior pupils on the south side of Mallow town and has offered a site for the purpose.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to furnish a report as to the suitability of the site for a new school comprising eight classrooms. It has been ascertained from the commissioners that arrangements have already been made to have the site inspected during the course of the present week.

When their report is received, my Department will communicate further with the Manager in the matter.
