asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the forestry workers in the Sneem-Templenoe area of County Kerry are concerned regarding their future employment because nearly all the land in the possession of the Forestry Division in this area is planted; whether he will give special consideration to representations made to him recently regarding lands available and offered for sale to the Forestry Division; and the acreage of unplanted forestry land in the above-mentioned area.

While there is little immediate danger of redundancy the land reserve position in the Sneem-Templenoe area is causing concern. I am fully conscious of the desirability of acquiring more land in the area and here as elsewhere every effort is being made to acquire additional land for afforestation.
